Gily’s Daycare and Learning Center is a childcare and early education project founded in 2019 by Gilbert Lasway under the Gily’s Children Foundation in Arusha.
The center focuses mainly on families from low-income backgrounds. All services are provided free of charge.
It offers:
• Daycare for young children
• Preschool learning
• After-school care and homework support
Because many parents in Tanzania lack access to childcare and primary schools often operate half-day schedules, the center helps parents work or study while ensuring children are safe and learning.
To sustain its programs, the center relies on donations through a project sponsorship system (from €15/month), which supports teachers, food, learning materials, and operations.
